Jennifer Perez - Profit Strategist / Speaker / Author

In 2013, I hit my rock bottom. I was buried in student debt and living week to week. For as much dedication as I was putting into my 3 jobs, I wasn’t feeling the satisfaction and pride in myself that should be included with working so hard. I cut out a lot of social activities with friends, and when I splurged or rewarded myself, I always felt guilty. It felt like I wasn’t living life for myself anymore. I felt trapped.

When the depression and anxiety became too much, I decided to start working with financial advisors, attorneys, CPAs, bankers, and even financial gurus. I eventually decided to file bankruptcy in an attempt to stop the pain and buy myself more time to figure everything out.

By reading several books, taking workshops, and surrounding myself with financially successful people, I re-learned how to live only off of what I made and restructured my entire money mindset. Since then, I’ve been on over 30 vacations, paid in cash for my dream wedding, built a house, built better relationships, and started a family and business!

What I learned from my journey is that everyone’s circumstances, background, mindset, and values are different. What works for some people may not work for others. I want those who struggle with finances to know that there is a way to escape the pressure and anxiety and have a life of freedom and happiness. So, I developed processes and systems to dig deep into the root causes of my clients’ financial problems to offer them personalized solutions.

Mike is the entrepreneur behind three multi-million dollar companies and is the author of Profit First, The Pumpkin Plan and what Business Week deemed the entrepreneurs cult classic, The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur. He is a former small business columnist for The Wall Street Journal, speaks internationally on entrepreneurial topics, and is the creator of the Profit First method. Mike is an active adviser on Profit First to our firm.
